Highway Adventures brings you our summer camping trip. Setting up tents in the beautiful Porthclais campsite, located in St David’s on the coast.
We only have limited spaces available so don’t miss out.
The £75 ticket price includes transport to and from St David’s and covers any pitching costs and access to our paddle boards!
We have loads of space for tents and camping equipment. We will also bring our paddle boards for all to use. We have spare tents and other camping equipment let us know what you need and we should be able to help!
There are loads of activities in the surrounding area that are free. So all you need is money for food and drink!

Highway Adventures presents the Welsh Cycling Challenge in 2026, where you'll cycle the length of Wales over 3 days.
Cycling the length of Wales is approximately 210 miles and is not something to take lightly. However, as tough as it may be, the sense of achievement you'll feel when you reach Cardiff Bay is incomparable. It’s a fantastic way to see Wales, with breathtaking views of Welsh scenery along the way.
This trip is fully supported. You will be joined by John, who will cycle alongside you and handle navigation. John is an experienced cyclist who has completed this challenge multiple times. He is also a skilled bike mechanic in case repairs are needed. We will also meet you at checkpoints with our minibus and trailer, carrying food, water, parts, and more so you can cycle light.
This challenge is perfect for fundraising for your chosen charity. We can help promote your fundraiser across our social media channels, and we have plenty of tips to assist with raising money.
Pickup Information
We will be departing from Builth Wells at 6 am latest on day 1. If you'd prefer to arrive the day before, we can assist with transportation from train stations like Hereford or Merthyr Tydfil to Mid Wales. Secure parking is also available if traveling by car.

Itinerary
Day 1:
Depart for Holyhead at 6 am (approx. 3 hours). Your bikes will already be loaded to save time. Once there, we’ll unload and get you set up. We aim to set off between 9:30 and 10 am. On Day 1, you’ll cycle around 68 miles, with two checkpoints for refilling bottles and a lunch break. You’ll finish in Barmouth, where bikes will be stored in our trailer for the night, and you’ll check into your accommodation at The Sandbanks B&B.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we’ll set off around 9:30 am. Day 2 involves approximately 73 miles of cycling, with two checkpoints and another lunch break. We’ll conclude the day back in Mid Wales, where you'll check into the Lion Hotel.
Day 3:
Another 9:30 am start. The third day covers roughly 70 miles—again, with checkpoints and a lunch stop. When you arrive at Cardiff Bay, a bottle of champagne will be waiting to celebrate your achievement! We’ll then head to a nearby Wetherspoon’s for food and drinks. Before driving back to Builth Wells

Itinerary
Day 1
We will collect you from Swindon at 9am and begin the 2.30hr journey to Pen-Y-Fan. After we have conquered the Welsh mountain we will head back to Mid Wales. Once we have arrived we will get you checked in to your 4 star accommodation.
Day 2
We will come collect you around 9am and depart for the elan valley. Once we have arrived we will head to the dams where we will complete a 20km walk around the dams. we will spend an hour at the visitors centre/ café before heading back to your hotel.
Day 3
After you’ve had your breakfast at the hotel we will depart around 9am and head to Brecon for the 9km four waterfalls walk. The walk takes around 3/4 hours. We will then head into Brecon for food and drinks before beginning the return journey to Swindon.
Accommodation
You will be staying in the 4 star hotel Metropole in the famous spa town Llandrindod Wells. Close to local pubs, restaurants and shops. Each room is a twin room that sleeps 2 people. Breakfast is also included with your stay.

Day 1: Our journey begins as we depart from Builth/Llandrindod at 7am, setting course for Scotland and our cozy accommodation at Ben Nevis Inn.
Day 2: Prepare for an early rise at 5am as we commence our ascent of Ben Nevis, a thrilling 7-hour climb that promises breathtaking views. Following our triumphant summit, we'll swiftly board the bus and journey to Scafell Pike, a 7-hour drive away. There, we'll conquer the peak in approximately 3.5 hours before retiring to our second lodging at The Boot Inn.

Highway Adventures brings you the Welsh 3 Peaks challenge
This is a 24hr challenge in which you will climb Snowdon, Cadir Idris and Pen-y-fan. A total walking distance of around 17 miles and total climb of 2334m
Itinerary
We will leave Llandrindod Wells at 23.59 (midnight) and head to Snowdon which takes around 3 hours. We will be climbing Snowdon in the dark and will summit for sunrise (you will need a head torch) which will take around 5 hours to complete.
We will then drive to Cadir Idris which takes around 1.5 hours. We will climb Cadir Idris which should take around 6 hours to complete.
Then we will drive to Pen-y-fan which takes around 2.5 hours and takes around 3 hours to complete.
Then we will head back home, stopping in Brecon Weatherspoon’s on the way home for a pint

After we have collected you we will begin the drive to the Brecon Beacons where we will complete the four waterfalls walk. This takes roughly 3 hours. After we are done we will head back to Llandrindod and get you checked into your 4 star hotel.

After your breakfast at your accommodation we will collect you and drive back to the Brecon Beacons, this time we will conquer the famous Pen-Y-Fan. There are shower facilities at the base of Pen-Y-Fan if needed. We will stop in Brecon for lunch before driving back home.

Itinerary
Day 1
During the initial day, our focus will be on arranging transportation to your lodging in Mid Wales. We are adaptable regarding pickup locations, and these details can be finalized in consultation with you before the trip date. Bristol airport is our preferred choice for transfers, for international travellers.
Day 2
After your breakfast at your accommodation we will collect you and drive to your first destination, where we will complete a hike through the beautiful Radnor Forest. This takes around half a day to complete. We will then return you to Llandrindod for some well needed rest.
Day 3
We will collect you again after you've had your breakfast at the hotel. This time we are heading to the stunning Elan Valley dams. Here we will complete a circular walk around the dams with breath taking views. We will have approximately an hour at the visitors centre/ café before heading back to your hotel. We have the option to stop Rhayder, the town next to the Elan valley on the way home.
Day 4
We will check you out of your hotel in the morning and then we will drive to the Brecon Beacons where we will complete the four waterfalls walk. This takes roughly 3 hours. After we are done we will head back to Llandrindod with the option of stopping in Brecon on the way through. We will the begin the journey home.

If you like the look of one of our trips but can’t make the dates, let us know as we may be able to change the dates.
If you want to go on one of our trips and have a group size of 6+ we can offer bespoke trips tailored to your exact wants i.e. pick up location, activities, how many days, cost etc.
